Remuneration

The position offers a remuneration bracket of R 440’000 to R 480’000 per year cost to company and is based on the candidate's qualifications and experience so assessed by the company at the company's discretion.

Job Scope

The Electrician, who may already be retired, is to support and assist the Group Services Head: Electricity from the Company offices in Silverton.  This role involves the checks and balances wrt work completed, materials review, system checks and general project support with the focus on quality. No installation work would have to be done by the candidate but an experienced technician, actively able with a passion for knowledge sharing, training and natural leadership capabilities, would be a welcome contribution to the technical services team. 


Requirements

The following minimum criteria is applicable and candidates who do not qualify for all the items, need not apply for the position. 


  1. Recognised Trade Tested Artisan (Electrical).

  2. A career of 20 years plus in the electricity distribution and installation industry.

  3. Wireman’s licence - installation electrician (not mandatory)

  4. Valid Code B driver’s license

  5. Computer literate wrt Word, Excel, email and the like.



Functions & Responsibilities

  1. Registration of projects.

  2. Obtain progress reports from field services technicians.

  3. Materials use and allocation verification.

  4. Close out reports. 

  5. Invoicing verification.

  6. Liason with the finance department wrt payments and receipts.

  7. General administration and arrangement support for the sector head.

  8. Assist with the allocation of teams.

  9. Management of the projects to-do list.
